Volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to gain new experiences and help us by donating your time. Our Center has had many volunteers over the years which has allowed us to forge great friendships.

Present Volunteers

Amanda

Amanda

Amanda Granger started with us in September 2015 through the MCC SALTER program and got involved in many aspects of the Centre, particularly with various Crafts for the children and Markets as well as being heavily involved with our Vocational Training Centre girls.  Amanda has returned for another year or so to start up and run our Attachment Program for the our next stage of the Vocational Training Program.

Amanda is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and loves to read, travel, hike and enjoys doing craft of various types.  She is always seen creating various things and in her free time looking up how to make various crafts. She first felt God was leading her to the Centre in 2015 through the SALTER Program as she has a heart for children of all ages but felt especially called to volunteer with the girls at SJC and have a positive influence in their lives.

Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11

Anitta

Anitta

Anitta Mago is from Bulawayo and recently graduated from TCZ (Bible College) here in Bulawayo and wanted to give the chance to share her experience and skills with the girls, children and staff at the Sandra Jones Centre.  She will be with us as long as she is available (or as long as we convince here to stay) as she continues to help change the lives of our girls and children socially and spiritually each day.

Anitta loves reading and socializing and always has a huge smile on her face to help brighten everyone day.

Her favourite Bible verse is Ephesians 1:17-18

Teah

Teah

Teah Goossen is our new MCC SALTER who joined the team at the beginning of September 2016 and is with us for a year. She comes to quiet little Bulawayo from Manitoba, Canada and has an amazing artist, creative side to her.  She loves Painting, Drawing and Writing (so might be helping us with a few blogs during her time with us).  Teah felt called to the Centre as she loves children, mentoring youth and encouraging young Christians in their faith. A few of the things she sees herself doing while she is with us is Art Therapy, Writing Reports, Playing and Listening to the kids.

Her favourite Bible verse is John 21:25

The Sandra Jones Centre are blessed with many volunteers who assist with our work.
